This blog is a compilation of stories and experiences as I travel along my journey with Alzheimer' Disease, Vascular Dementia, Type 2 Diabetes, White Matter Disease, and probably some other things I don’t yet know about.
Each day, I LIVE as well as I can by Advocating, listening to music, laughing, talking with friends and whatever I feel like doing in the moment.
“I have Alzheimer’s Disease BUT, I don’t allow it to define who I am!”

Brian,
So sorry for this ordeal, and I hope it gets resolved. It sounds like it was very upsetting, and obviously still is – all the more so because you are on your own.
I’d also like to note that people who live with dementia are not the only ones to be treated badly by people who lack compassion and are disrespectful. It happens to all of us, and can be frightening and humiliating whoever you are.
I’m sure your letter to the airline will have a positive impact.
Sending positive vibes your way.

So sorry this happened. Maybe there is some sort of ID badge that Alzheimer’s patients can carry explaining their inability to respond when they are stressed. Maybe this would cut down on some of the cruel comments.
